A group of concerned Canadian Muslim professionals came together in 1994 to make a difference in the lives of people suffering from war, poverty, and devastating sanctions.
Who We Are
Working for LIFE to Save Lives
From humble beginnings, we grew to provide our dedicated, sincere and transparent programs to alleviate the suffering of people beyond Iraq regardless of their gender, race, color, religion or cultural background.
We strive to sponsor long-term and sustainable human development programs to provide a lasting and holistic solution and not a temporary remedy for the destitute and displaced. Despite the grim realities of humanitarian work, we maintain a clear and positive focus by “Working for LIFE to Save Lives”.

Founded in Edmonton
A group of concerned Canadian Muslim professionals established Life for Relief & Development Canada to support people suffering in Iraq.
Expanded Global Reach
Extended programs beyond Iraq to serve vulnerable communities across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
Orphan Sponsorship Launch
Launched dedicated orphan sponsorship programs in Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan, providing long-term care and education.
Water Well Initiative
Began building sustainable water infrastructure in regions facing severe water scarcity and contamination.
Syrian Refugee Response
Mobilized massive relief operations to support millions of Syrian refugees with food, shelter, and medical care.
Pandemic Relief
Adapted programs to address COVID-19 challenges, distributing medical supplies and PPE to vulnerable communities.
Gaza Emergency Response
Launched urgent relief operations for Gaza, providing critical humanitarian aid to affected families and children.
